Armored Corps summarizes "Year of Youth"
(Baonghean) -This afternoon, December 7, at the 215th Tank Brigade (located in Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province), the Armored Corps held a conference to summarize the activities of the 2011 Youth Year.
In the Youth Year 2011, the entire Corps had 18 topics, initiatives and 618 typical tasks and actions of the youth recognized by the unit. There were 532 Youth Union cadres and youth union members who were “Advanced Youth following Uncle Ho’s teachings”; 68 youth projects were consolidated and renewed with a value of nearly 260 million VND, and youth mobilized to support more than 225 million VND to the Gratitude Fund. 100% of the Youth Union branches and grassroots Youth Unions at 2 levels or higher were twinned with at least one Youth Union organization where they were stationed.

At the conference, 2 groups and individuals in the Corps were awarded certificates of merit by the Central Youth Union for their Summer Volunteer activities. The leaders of the Armored Command awarded certificates of merit, certificates of merit and the title of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings at the Corps level to 5 groups and 10 advanced individuals and awarded 9 groups with exemplary models of activities in 2011.
Previously, the outstanding youth representatives of the Armored Corps and the Youth Unions of the two sister units, the Communist Magazine and the Voice of Vietnam Radio, offered flowers to commemorate Uncle Ho and visited the Kim Lien relic site; visited the model of the Garage, the Advanced Youth Crew following Uncle Ho's teachings, and the model of activities to build a new cultural Youth Union.
