A group of 10th grade English students were having a party to celebrate October 20th at their homeroom teacher's house when suddenly a mini gas tank exploded, burning 10 students.

At noon on November 18, after attending the Vietnamese Teachers' Day celebration on November 20, 30 10th grade English major students of Vi Thanh High School for the Gifted (Hau Giang) returned to their homeroom teacher's house to organize a party.

While everyone was eating hotpot, the mini gas stove turned off. "Some students gathered around to check and smelled a gas leak and explosion. We ran away, many of us got burned all over our bodies," said a student.

10 students with burns on their faces, arms and legs were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. By this afternoon, their health and spirit had gradually stabilized, and 6 of them were discharged from the hospital to go home.
