The Politburo works with 21 Party Committees to prepare for the Party Congress.

From August 15-22, the Politburo worked (first week, second phase) on preparing for the Congress of Party Committees directly under the Central Committee for the 2015-2020 term.

Attending the meeting were representatives of the Central Party Committees, the Central Party Office, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance; for mountainous provinces and ethnic minority areas, there were representatives of the Ethnic Committee; for provinces located in the regions of the 3 Steering Committees: Northwest, Central Highlands, Southwest, there were representatives of the Steering Committee.

At the working sessions, after listening to representatives of the Standing Committees of the Provincial Party Committees, City Party Committees, and the Party Committee of the Central Agencies present draft documents and personnel plans to be submitted to the Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term, and opinions of the Central Agencies, the Politburo and Secretariat comrades gave their opinions on 3 groups of contents:

Firstly, regarding the draft political report of the Party Committee and the draft resolution submitted to the Party Congress, give opinions on important issues such as theme, structure; main assessment and comments; directions, goals, tasks, major solutions; basic contents of the political report included in the draft resolution, major orientations stated in the draft political report submitted to the 12th National Party Congress that are directly related to the Party Committee.

Second, regarding the draft report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Party Executive Committee, give opinions mainly on the seriousness and combativeness in self-criticism and criticism of the Party Committee, on the leadership methods, working style, good experiences, and new ways of leadership and direction of the Party Committee.

Third, give opinions on the Party Committee's personnel plan, mainly on the personnel preparation process, the number of executive committees and standing committees; on the Party Committee's standards and structure, especially the age structure, youth ratio, female ratio, and re-election ratio.

Based on the Conclusion of the Politburo member who chaired the working session, and the opinions of the Politburo members, the Secretariat and the Central agencies attending, the above-mentioned Party Committees continue to supplement and perfect the draft documents and personnel plans to successfully organize the Party Congress.

Thus, as of August 22, 2015, the Politburo has worked with 48/68 Party Committees directly under the Central Committee (including the Party Committee of the Army, the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises, the Party Committee of the Central Agencies and 45 Party Committees of provinces and cities). The Politburo's working sessions with the Party Committees have all ensured the general requirements, quality and efficiency.
