Provincial Military Command: Support for families in difficulty in Nam Giai commune (Que Phong)
(Baonghean.vn) -On May 30, a working delegation of the Provincial Military Command organized free medical examinations and medicine; donated breeding cows to families with special difficulties; and surveyed rural roads to help Nam Giai commune (Que Phong).
Attending the delegation were Colonel Nguyen Xuan Giap - Deputy Political Commissar, representatives of departments and offices of the Provincial Military Command and 9 military doctors.
Nam Giai is a commune in a remote and particularly difficult area of Que Phong district. In recent years, despite many efforts to promote internal resources, Nam Giai still has many poor households and very difficult traffic. The commune has 458 households, of which 354 are poor (accounting for 76.4 households). The area is spread over 8 villages, the farthest village is Pieng Lang (bordering Sam To district, Hua Phan province of Laos).
Implementing the policy of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee on assigning provincial departments and branches to help remote and extremely difficult communes in the Western region of Nghe An, the provincial armed forces came to help Nam Giai commune with the sentiment and responsibility of "From the people, for the people to sacrifice, for the people to fight". The Provincial Military Command mobilized officers and soldiers to contribute one day's salary each to help the people in difficulty.

Since 2012, the Provincial Military Command's officers and soldiers have organized delegations to distribute free medicine to the people (worth 20 million VND), purchased equipment to donate to the Nam Giai commune health station (30 million VND), helped build the health station's fence system (70 million VND), and supported the construction of 01 gratitude house worth over 56 million VND.

Provincial Military Command gives breeding cows to poor households
During the 2013 support for Nam Giai people, the Provincial Military Command continued to survey the local situation, organized medical examinations and provided free medicine to 250 people, and donated 5 breeding cows to extremely disadvantaged households with a total value of over 150 million VND. The Provincial Military Command is also preparing a plan to continue implementing phase 2 in 2013 for the people of Nam Giai commune.
