Provincial Military Command visits and presents gifts to Dien Bien Phu veterans

(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of the 39th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2014) and the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2014), on April 29, the Party Committee of the Provincial Military Command organized 2 delegations to visit and present gifts to the families of outstanding veterans living in the province who participated in the fight against French colonialism in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

The delegation inquired about the health and encouraged veterans who fought against French colonialism in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

The delegation kindly inquired about the health of the veterans and expressed their deep gratitude for their contributions to the cause of national liberation and listened to the emotional stories of the former Dien Bien soldiers when they recalled the time of selfless fighting, contributing to a victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world". Today, despite their advanced age, they still maintain the good nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", they all actively participate in local activities, and they and their families always set an example in implementing the Party's policies and the State's laws.
