Border Guards help people cope with the strongest cold spell of the year
(Baonghean.vn) - To cope with the cold spell that is forecast to be the strongest in the past 10 years, units of the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard have proactively deployed measures to minimize the impacts of extreme weather on the lives of people in the border area.

Today (December 28), units in the highlands have ensured that military uniforms are warm enough for daily activities and are ready for combat. In addition, working groups have been sent to the stationed areas to guide and assist people in measures to prevent and protect people and livestock from the cold.

Units have given warm blankets to the elderly, the poor, and those in difficult circumstances. For livestock and poultry, they have helped people move to low-lying areas, instructed them on how to make fires to keep warm, covered them from the wind, and ensured adequate food reserves during cold days.
