Nghe An Border Guards were honored and rewarded by the Border Guard Command.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 4, the Border Guard Party Committee held a conference to review and honor and reward typical advanced models in 3 years of implementing the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers".

The conference took place at 47 locations. At the Nghe An location, Colonel Le Nhu Cuong - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Nghe An Border Guard presided.

The campaign “Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho’s soldiers” was implemented by the Border Guard in conjunction with major movements of the Army and the unit’s emulation movement to win. Officers and soldiers of the Border Guard have been proactive, creative, and pioneering in achieving many practical results. Many programs, creative models, and good practices have been widely replicated and promoted.

During the implementation of the campaign, many typical examples and models have appeared in Nghe An Border Guard such as the movement "Helping children go to school", "Breeding cows to help the poor in the border area", "Tet program for the poor", "Nghe An Border Guard joins hands to build new countryside"...

At the same time, coordinate with the Provincial Farmers' Association to implement the project "Building a local sow breeding facility to provide breeding pigs for people in the western border area of ​​the province in the period of 2015 - 2018" at 18 mountainous border posts worth 5.6 billion VND.

At the conference, there were many opinions evaluating the results of the implementation of the campaign, pointing out the advantages, disadvantages, shortcomings and drawing lessons learned in the implementation process, on that basis proposing the main tasks, policies and solutions that need to be focused on to effectively implement the campaign in the following years.

On this occasion, the Border Guard Party Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 47 groups and 41 individuals. Nghe An Border Guard had 1 group and 1 individual awarded by the Border Guard High Command.

* On the afternoon of May 4, Nghe An Border Guard organized a dialogue conference between the Standing Committee - Command with cadres of mass organizations and honored "Outstanding Young Faces" of the Provincial Border Guard in 2016.

Through practical activities at grassroots units, delegates presented good experiences and creative ways of doing things; at the same time, proposed and recommended a number of measures to improve the quality of activities of the Youth Union and Women's Union in the coming time.

The Standing Committee - Provincial Border Guard Command also answered questions in the activities of mass organizations at the grassroots level; promptly resolved legitimate proposals and recommendations from the masses; and proposed directions for the activities of mass organizations in the Provincial Border Guard to be more effective in the next stages.

At the conference, the Nghe An Border Guard Command honored 6 outstanding young faces among the provincial Border Guard Youth Union members.
