Former SLNA player duo is facing difficulties at SHB Da Nang

Both moved to Hoa Xuan Stadium at the beginning of this season to become students of coach Le Huynh Duc. While Au Van Hoan left Ho Chi Minh City Club after 2 years of association, Pham Manh Hung left SLNA after the contract between the two sides officially expired. Au Van Hoan and Pham Manh Hung had a season together in the Nghe An team (2013), before Hoan "cut" to join B.Binh Duong.

After many years apart, the duo has now reunited in the SHB Da Nang jersey. In the early stages of the season, Hung "crossbar" and Hoan "cut" were used by coach Le Huynh Duc in their familiar positions of center back and right back. Objectively, the pair of Nghe An players have somewhat proven their talent and experience in the field. The 3-1 victory of SHB Da Nang over Viettel on the opening day of V.League 2019 was largely due to Pham Manh Hung and Au Van Hoan.

Unfortunately, after the opening day victory, the Han River team went through a period of poor performance. From round 2 to round 7, the home team Hoa Xuan only knew draws and losses (3 draws, 3 losses). The performances of Pham Manh Hung and Au Van Hoan during that period were not really impressive. In particular, the central defender born in 1993 was also the "sinner" of SHB Da Nang in the 2 losses against SLNA (careless pass back to help Nguyen Quang Tinh score) and Saigon FC (own goal).

To help the team escape the danger zone on the rankings, coach Le Huynh Duc has made strong changes in terms of personnel. It is not surprising that Pham Manh Hung and Au Van Hoan have often had to "wear out their pants" on the bench in the last 3 rounds (rounds 9 - 11). According to statistics, Au Van Hoan's minutes on the field were 0, while Pham Manh Hung's was 106 in the 3 matches against Sanna Khanh Hoa, Hanoi FC and HAGL.

The fact that Vo Nhat Tan (right-back) and Bui Tien Dung (center-back) are playing well, especially SHB Da Nang is achieving positive results (winning 2/3 matches), makes the chance of Au Van Hoan and Pham Manh Hung returning to the starting lineup even smaller. If they do not make more efforts to achieve their best performance, it will be difficult for the duo of former SLNA players to regain the trust of coach Le Huynh Duc./.
