(Baonghean.vn) - The duo Le Dinh Long Vu and Vi Dinh Thuong, both from Nghe An, had a very good and effective coordination, contributing greatly to the 5-0 victory of U17 Vietnam against U17 Nepal in the second match of Group F of the 2023 U17 Asian qualifiers.

In the second match, U17 Thailand won 3-1 against U17 Chinese Taipei. With that result, the team from the Golden Temple country has a goal difference of 5 goals. Therefore, U17 Vietnam only needs a light victory against U17 Nepal to continue to lead Group F.

In the previous match, although Vietnam scored 4 goals, the way they attacked still lacked the necessary cohesion. To bring about a favorable result and create confidence for their players, coach Nguyen Quoc Tuan decided to change some personnel in the starting lineup.

The former coach of Hoang Anh Gia Lai decided to push player Le Dinh Long Vu of Song Lam Nghe An to play in the winger position. And put Vi Dinh Thuong on the field from the start to guard the left wing. The Nghe An duo had a very good combination, creating soft and varied wing coordination. However, the opening goal of U17 Vietnam in the 7th minute of the match came from an attack in the middle. However, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan's students wasted many opportunities and only scored 1 more goal to seal a 5-0 victory for U17 Vietnam. With this result, the red shirt team temporarily took the lead in Group F after two matches.

On October 9, U17 Vietnam will compete with U17 Thailand to determine the ranking in this group.
