The Ministry of Education requires the opening ceremony to be short and appropriate to the students' ages.
The Ministry of Education and Training has just sent an official dispatch to the Departments of Education regarding the implementation of a number of activities at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year.
Accordingly, the opening ceremony of the new school year will be held simultaneously across the country on September 5 with a concise program, aimed at students, ensuring solemnity.
For preschool level, the Ministry requires schools to organize the opening ceremony in the form of "Children's School Day" in a flexible and creative manner suitable to the psychological characteristics of children.
The Ministry of Education also noted that organizing activities at the beginning of the school year must be appropriate to the age of the students, the conditions of the school, and the local reality. "Activities need to promote the positivity, initiative, creativity, and self-management of students, avoiding formal organization that overloads students," the document stated.
