Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang has just issued a directive strictly prohibiting officials and civil servants in the industry from using alcohol before and during working hours, including when organizing conferences and receiving guests.
The Directive has just been issued to implement the National Policy on Prevention and Control of Harmful Effects of Alcohol Abuse in the Transport Sector.
The directive also warns of the harmful effects of alcohol abuse on the health of traffic participants in order to raise awareness among the community and drivers, creating a high consensus in society on complying with legal regulations on alcohol concentration.
Minister Dinh La Thang strictly prohibits the use of alcohol by officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers at agencies, organizations, and units under the Ministry of Transport.
Specifically, it is strictly forbidden to use alcohol before, during and at work; during meals between two sessions during the working day and on duty days, including when organizing conferences and receiving guests.
On holidays and outside working hours, civil servants, public employees, and workers at agencies and units under the Ministry of Transport must take the lead in implementing the law on alcohol concentration; do not drink alcohol before driving, and do not drive if you have drunk alcohol.
Universities, colleges, and intermediate schools of the transport sector do not sell alcohol or beer in canteens, communal dining halls, or dormitories. The head of the sector requires leaders of agencies, organizations, and units to be responsible for including regulations on the prohibition of alcohol use in the internal regulations and standards for considering emulation and commendation titles of the agencies and units./.
