Ministry of Transport issues urgent document requesting plan for passenger transportation
The Ministry of Transport has requested units to develop plans to transport passengers according to each risk group to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.
On the evening of April 15, the Ministry of Transport sent an urgent document to its affiliated units and the Department of Transport of provinces and centrally-run cities regarding the implementation of the Prime Minister's direction at the Government Standing Committee meeting on April 15.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Transport requested the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam and the Departments of Aviation, Maritime, Railway, and Inland Waterways, based on their functions and tasks, to urgently study the Prime Minister's instructions on Covid-19 prevention and control, and develop plans for transporting passengers to provinces and cities in each risk group.

The Ministry of Transport also requested agencies and units to continue implementing the Ministry's direction on implementing Directive 16 of the Prime Minister from 00:00 on April 16 until the Prime Minister issues a new directive and further notice from the Ministry of Transport.
