Russian Foreign Ministry comments on NATO Secretary General's statement on Russian Foreign Minister
Commenting on NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte's statement about Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Sputnik, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the Foreign Minister's work for so many years was not in vain, because he reminds Rutte of Christ.
"Mr. Lavrov has worked for so many years in vain, because he reminds the NATO Secretary General of Jesus Christ," said Maria Zakharova.
Earlier on Wednesday, Mr. Rutte made an insulting comment about Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, saying: "I think he has been a minister in Russia since the birth of Jesus Christ, and since then, nothing, nothing useful has come out of his mouth. So let's not pay too much attention to Lavrov," Mark Rutte said in an interview with Fox News.
