Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Bui Ba Bong congratulated the teachers who received these great honors to recognize their contributions to their training career. The Deputy Minister hoped that teachers would continue to receive contributions from teachers in the agricultural sector and that there would be more and more People's Teachers and Meritorious Teachers.
As one of the two teachers honored to receive the title of People's Teacher this time, Prof. Dr. Pham Ngoc Quy, Vice Principal of Thuy Loi University, said that to receive this noble title, the first people he thanked were the students who created a good environment for teachers to demonstrate their abilities. Having spent nearly 20 years in the education sector, Mr. Quy still clearly remembers the time he was a student, the teacher who had the most impact, was an exemplary role model for the professor to achieve the results he has today. In addition, the eyes of the students, who seemed to be the "silkworms" for him to "spin silk" out of valuable knowledge, recognized by the state.
In 2012, the whole country had 40 People's Teachers and 570 Meritorious Teachers awarded by the President for their outstanding contributions to the nation's education.
