The Russian Defense Ministry spoke out about preventing new attempts to break deep into Russian territory by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to RIA Novosti, the Russian Defense Ministry said that its army continues to repel attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack and control the territory of the Kursk region.
Accordingly, during the day, units of the "Northern" group of forces and the approaching reserve, aviation troops and artillery, as well as missile forces prevented attempts to break through enemy mobile groups with armored vehicles deep into Russian territory in the settlements of Tolpino, Zhuravli, Obshchy Kolodez. Here, 4 armored personnel carriers, including 2 American Strykers, 7 armored fighting vehicles and 2 cars were destroyed.
Attacked the concentration of troops and weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Staraya Sorochnitsa, Korenevo, Sudzha and Borkov. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian side lost 35 soldiers and wounded, 5 tanks, 4 armored fighting vehicles and 3 cars.
In addition, Russian forces thwarted an attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to storm the Belovsky district, destroying 2 tanks, 1 armored fighting vehicle, 1 field artillery piece and 2 ammunition trucks were destroyed in the vicinity of Ozerki and Ivanovsky.
At the same time, squadrons of Russian Su-30SM and Su-35S fighter jets continuously circled the outskirts of Sudzha and fired missiles at detected Ukrainian targets. The attacks killed at least 15 foreign Ukrainian mercenaries.
The Russian Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system hit the Ukrainian Buk-M1 self-propelled air defense system in the Lyubimovka area. In addition, the Russian Air Defense Forces shot down four Tochka-U tactical missiles and 14 drones.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, on August 11, the total losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to about 230 people and 38 armored vehicles, including 7 tanks, 3 Stryker armored vehicles, one infantry fighting vehicle, 28 armored fighting vehicles, 7 vehicles, 4 field guns, a Buk-M1 firing unit, 3 launchers and AN/MPQ-65 Patriot radar air defense system.
In total, in the fighting in the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have so far lost about 1,350 servicemen and more than 170 armored vehicles, including 29 tanks.
Kommersant military correspondent Alexander Chernykh, who is working in the Kursk region, shared about the war situation in the border town of Sudzha, bordering Ukraine. Specifically, everything is going on in chaos when both Russian combat units and units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are in a "state of uncertainty about which side is which".
