Vietnam has also successfully produced a vaccine to prevent diarrhea caused by the Rota virus and has been licensed for circulation. Therefore, in the near future, this vaccine will also be included in the expanded immunization program.

This is the information given by Mr. Dang Duc Anh, Director of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Ministry of Health, at a press meeting on the afternoon of August 4.

According to Mr. Duc Anh, diarrhea caused by Rota virus is one of the common diseases of children in Vietnam. Therefore, including this vaccine in the expanded immunization program will contribute significantly to preventing and limiting the number of cases of the disease.

According to Mr. Duc Anh, after the success of the measles-rubella vaccination campaign for children aged 1 to 14, in the coming time, the Ministry of Health has a policy to launch a number of additional campaigns and will be able to introduce a number of new vaccines. In particular, priority will be given to vaccines for diseases that spread quickly and cause high mortality rates./.
