Additional 68.8 billion VND to support children's lunch money
The Ministry of Finance has just decided to temporarily allocate additional targeted funds from the central budget to 8 localities of over 68.6 billion VND to implement the policy of supporting lunch money for children aged 3-5 in 2014, according to the regime prescribed in Decision No. 239/2010/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on approving the Project on Universal Preschool Education for the period 2010-2015.
The support levels for specific localities are as follows: Hai Phong city 177 million VND, Cao Bang province over 9.2 billion VND, Ha Giang province nearly 2.2 billion VND, Lao Cai province over 1.5 billion VND, Dien Bien province 4.6 billion VND, Bac Kan province nearly 2.3 billion VND, Thanh Hoa province 24.9 billion VND and Dak Nong nearly 23.8 billion VND.
The Ministry of Finance has also just decided to support 20 billion VND from the central budget for the two provinces of Quang Ninh and Bac Giang to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 2 and floods in 2014.
Specifically, implementing Decision No. 1712/2014/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance has targeted additional funds from the central budget for Quang Ninh province of VND 15 billion and Bac Giang province of VND 5 billion to support people's livelihood relief, restore production, and repair essential infrastructure such as schools, medical stations, irrigation works and rural traffic... in these two provinces.
In addition, the Ministry of Finance also requested the two provinces of Quang Ninh and Bac Giang to proactively use local budget reserve funds and other legal sources to overcome the consequences caused by natural disasters.
