In Official Dispatch No. 87/BTC-QLG, the Ministry of Finance stated that the prices of urea fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, and animal feed have not shown a clear downward trend while since the third quarter of last year, the prices of key raw materials on the world market and domestic gasoline and oil prices have decreased sharply.

In particular, from January 1, the value added tax on fertilizers and animal and poultry feed has been changed from 5% to non-taxable.

Accordingly, the leaders of the Ministry of Finance requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to require enterprises producing and trading urea fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, and animal feed to review input costs and reduce prices.

In case of violations, the document of the Ministry of Finance emphasizes: "Strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law and publicly announce them on mass media."

In addition, the Ministry of Finance also requested local units to make plans to inspect and examine the quality of products and goods in the production and trading of the above items./
