Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment summarizes the emulation and reward movement of Cluster 4

(Baonghean) - On December 20, in Vinh City, Emulation Cluster No. 4 - Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (including 6 North Central provinces: Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quan Tri, Thua Thien - Hue) held a conference to summarize the emulation and reward movement in 2011.

Attending the conference were comrades: Le Van Hop - Director of the Department of Emulation and Reward (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment); Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of 6 North Central provinces.

At the conference, delegates focused on evaluating the results of the emulation and reward movement of the cluster in general and of each locality, in which they affirmed that the quality of emulation has improved. The clearest evidence is that the issue of natural resources and environment has been paid attention to by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of the provinces to solve the problems, shortcomings, and limitations in State management and sustainable development.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment of 6 provinces has also closely followed the political tasks of the whole sector and localities to focus on implementing well the emulation goals launched by the sector. The provinces have advised the authorities at the same level to develop the 2012 land price list; completed the land inventory; built cadastral information data and current land use status; completed reports on land use planning until 2020 and land use plans from now until 2015. Well implemented projects to protect and improve the environment; handled urgent "hot spots" of environmental pollution. Mineral exploitation management is also gradually coming into order in accordance with the provisions of law. Developed and implemented plans to "respond to climate change", projects related to water, sea and island management.

The conference unanimously proposed that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment award the Emulation Flag to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Nghe An and elect the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Tri as the Head of Emulation Cluster No. 4 in 2012 and approved the emulation movement plan for 2012.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, comrade Le Van Hop highly appreciated the emulation results of the Natural Resources and Environment sector of cluster 4, contributing to creating positive changes in the field of natural resources and environment in each locality, and emphasized: Emulation and reward work in the coming time needs to focus on the contents of response and adaptation to climate change and some situations of weather change. Focus on building emulation movements in State management; coordinate with sectors to build the National program on new rural construction; promote administrative reform in the sector's fields.
