(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, March 16, the Inspection Delegation of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) led by Major General Phan Van Giang - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the VPA inspected the implementation of the Law and the Prime Minister's Decision on approving projects to implement the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces in Nghe An.

Accompanying the delegation were Lieutenant General Hoang Trung Son - Director of the Department of Militia and Self-Defense Forces, Major General Vu Van Tung - Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 4. Working with the inspection delegation were comrades: Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and a number of relevant agencies, departments and branches.

Inspection team gives gifts to Nghia Dan DBĐV force

Previously, on March 15, the Delegation inspected the implementation of the law on militia and self-defense in Dien Chau and Nghia Dan districts. In the past time, the Party committees, authorities and people of these two districts have taken steps to deploy the law to each local resident in a comprehensive and effective manner. Training, coaching and ensuring policies are implemented in accordance with the law. The construction and training of the maritime militia platoon in Dien Ngoc - Dien Chau (according to the pilot direction of the Ministry of National Defense) was carried out with high quality. The reserve force transferred from the militia and self-defense force (through inspection in Nghia Dan) ensured the right quality compared to the requirements of the pilot direction of the Ministry.

At the working session with the provincial leaders, the Inspection Delegation listened to the report on the implementation results of the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces and the Prime Minister's Decision on approving projects to implement the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces in the province. The highlight is that after nearly 2 years of organizing and implementing the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces, up to now, 100% of cadres and party members in the political system from the province to the grassroots level; cadres and soldiers in the Militia and Self-Defense Forces and the people have grasped and understood the basic issues of the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces. Party committees, authorities and functional agencies have well applied the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces in conjunction with the implementation of their positions and responsibilities in leadership, direction, advising and organizing the implementation of the building, training, activities and policies of the Militia and Self-Defense Forces, contributing to strengthening the effectiveness of state management, improving the overall quality of the Militia and Self-Defense Forces, meeting the requirements of national defense and security tasks in the new situation.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Tran Hong Chau– Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Councilemphasized the importance of the law on militia and self-defense forces, and proposed a number of issues to further improve the quality of militia and self-defense forces, such as training methods that are close to the reality of each locality; providing support tools for training and ensuring security and order; and the need for specific State regulations on mobilizing forces and requisitioning vehicles for duty.

Concluding the inspection, Major General Phan Van Giang highly appreciated the results of implementing the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces that Nghe An province has achieved and built the Dien Ngoc Marine Militia Platoon; trained Militia and Self-Defense Forces to become DBDVs according to the pilot direction of the Ministry of National Defense. In the coming time, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff noted a number of contents that Nghe An needs to pay attention to, which are to continue to disseminate the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces among the masses; promptly deploy the project to implement the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces; review and adjust the coordination regulations between Militia and Self-Defense Forces with the Public Security, Border Guard and Forest Protection forces; continue to build and pilot the establishment of commune-level military cells. Regarding the guarantee regime for military officers at the commune, village and hamlet levels, Nghe An province has a written proposal to the ministry for research and resolution.
