Export turnover reached 475.6 million USD, of which goods export reached 231 million USD, up 28.5% compared to 2010. The goods market in the province is basically under control. The campaign for Vietnamese people to prioritize using Vietnamese goodsMaleimplemented effectively; inflation is contained.

In 2012, Nghe An continues to implement solutions to remove difficulties for production and business, promote investment in effective projects and works. Striving to achieve a growth rate (industrial and handicraft production value) of 16 to 17%; Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue increase by 22 to 25%; Export turnover reaches over 450 million USD, contributing to the province's GDP growth rate in 2012 reaching 10.5 to 11%.

At the meeting, the leaders of Nghe An province requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to direct the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group to soon start the construction of a textile cluster in Tho Loc Industrial Park - in the Southeast Economic Zone. Direct the Coal and Mineral Industries Group to soon start the construction of a 1200MW thermal power plant in Quynh Lap, Quynh Luu; Adjust the development plan of 110KV transformer stations and return the medium voltage power system, upgrade the low voltage after handing it over to the electricity industry for management... and some problems of the KoBelco Steel project, resettlement of Ban Ve hydropower plant, infrastructure of the Western industrial cluster.

After listening to the speeches of Nghe An province's leaders and agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Minister Vu Huy Hoang acknowledged the achievements of Nghe An province in the field of Industry and Trade.
