Comrade Tran Quoc Thanh presents gifts to the Lao Minister of Science and Technology

Nghe An Department of Science and Technology also focuses on researching and applying biotechnology to serve agriculture such as crops, livestock, organic fertilizers, plant and animal varieties as well as agricultural processes in general. A new issue is being researched such as mushrooms, medicinal herbs, pharmaceuticals, research on equipment innovation for enterprises is mainly, and supporting enterprises to form a science and technology development fund. Issues of quality management and intellectual property, post-harvest preservation technology, microbial production technology, functions, production processes according to international standards are receiving investment attention.

After listening to the report, the delegates of the Lao Ministry of Science and Technology had many questions to discuss and learn about the application of high-tech advances in agricultural production, information technology, the relationship between the Department of Science and Technology and other sectors, and science and technology development projects. Through that, the neighboring country can learn and apply the experience of the science and technology sector to the activities of the department level. The Lao Ministry of Science and Technology has only been established for 2 years and the departments of science and technology of the neighboring country have only been established for more than 1 year, so learning and exchanging are very necessary. The questions proposed by the neighboring country were answered and clarified by Mr. Tran Quoc Thanh.

Next, the delegation visited Nghe An Agricultural Materials Food Joint Stock Company under Nghe An Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Corporation, in the Southeast Economic Zone (Nghi Long Nghi Loc); visited the Technology Application and Transfer Center in Hung Dong Commune, Vinh City; participated in cultural and artistic exchanges and listened to an introduction to the scientific and technological activities of Nghe An Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Corporation.

On behalf of the delegation of the Lao Ministry of Science and Technology, Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara thanked the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province for their thoughtful and warm welcome, the open and sincere exchange and the sharing of very useful information. At the same time, he hoped that in the future, the two sides would continue to cooperate closely, increase the exchange of experiences in high technology science with Nghe An province; the two sides would build a truly effective science and technology cooperation program, contributing to strengthening the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
