Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs works in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 19 in Vinh city, comrade Pham Thi Hai Chuyen - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs visited and worked with leaders of Nghe An province.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Le Xuan Dai reported on the socio-economic situation and results of labor, war invalids and social affairs in Nghe An province in the first 7 months of 2014, and the direction and tasks for the last 5 months of 2014.

From 2011 to now, Nghe An has created jobs for 104,800 workers, an average of 34,933 new jobs each year. Of which, 38,742 people were exported. In the first 7 months of 2014, 19,950 workers were employed, reaching 54%, and 6,400 people were exported. Policies for workers have basically been implemented in accordance with the law, unemployment insurance has been provided for 18,712 cases with the amount of 110.2 billion VND.
Vocational training was provided to 282,758 people, including 31,517 rural workers. The number of students who have jobs after graduating from vocational schools is about 75-80%. The quality of vocational training has been gradually improved. By the end of 2013, the poverty rate in the province has decreased to 13.4%. The policies for people with revolutionary contributions have been properly, fully and promptly resolved and paid, and the gratitude movement has been widely socialized. The province has built 1,600 new houses and repaired and upgraded 1,391 gratitude houses.
After listening to the report, representatives of the departments and offices of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs had many opinions and clarified a number of issues in the fields of labor, labor export, and job creation that Nghe An province was interested in proposing and recommending.

Minister Pham Thi Hai Chuyen spoke highly of Nghe An's efforts to achieve the socio-economic development plan targets, especially in the field of labor, war invalids and social affairs. Nghe An is one of the provinces that seriously and effectively implements policies on labor, war invalids and social affairs, well implements models to support poor families, socializes the gratitude movement, etc. The Minister answered the province's proposals and recommendations specifically and assigned tasks to departments and offices to consider and submit to the Ministry for resolution.
