This visit and working session of the delegation is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos (September 5, 1962 - September 5, 2012) and the 35th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (August 1, 1977 - August 1, 2012) between high-ranking delegations of the two countries.
Minister Onchanh Thammavong and his delegation will attend the 50th Anniversary of Cooperation between the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam and the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Laos, jointly organized by the two Ministries in Vinh City on December 2, and present medals and noble awards to officials of the two countries.
In addition, the delegation will also visit President Ho Chi Minh's hometown, the Vietnam - Laos martyrs' cemetery in Anh Son district and visit Vinh University of Technology Education.
