Emergency Situations Minister Says Ukraine Deliberately Attacked Russian Firefighters
The Ukrainian military deliberately opened fire on Russian firefighters when they came to extinguish fires in the conflict zone, which is cowardly, Russian Emergency Situations Minister Alexander Kurenkov said in an interview on the "Rossiya-24" TV channel.

"I want to talk about the cowardice used by the Ukrainian military. After the arrival of fire engines, they opened fire in an attempt to kill our rescue teams. It was cowardly. They knew that we had mine clearance equipment. For this, so-called mines were placed under anti-personnel mines with great provision for their destruction," said Minister Alexander Kurenkov.
Rescuers are working in a 15-kilometer radius “side by side with the military and the National Guard,” Alexander Kurenkov noted.
"All these people are doing their daily silent work. They are doing their job the way they are supposed to," added Alexander Kurenkov.
