Minister of Construction works with leaders of Nghe An province

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of March 26, comrade Trinh Dinh Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Construction and the working delegation had a working session with the People's Committee of Nghe An province on the state management situation in the construction sector. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of relevant departments and branches.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee reported on the socio-economic situation of Nghe An province in 2012 and the first quarter of 2013. Regarding state management in the field of construction, Nghe An has been focusing on developing the urban system. Vinh city and towns, townships, and commune cluster centers have had plans approved, all communes have announced plans for new rural construction. Implementing the project "Developing social housing in Vinh city, Cua Lo town and central industrial zones in Nghe An province", the province has so far completed and put into use 3 social housing blocks with more than 200 apartments. The Government's support programs for poor households on housing, support for building flood shelters in flood areas have been completed as planned.

The management of technical infrastructure and construction materials industry has been focused on and implemented resolutely. The province has completed two projects on cement development in the period of 2012-2015 according to the Government's cement development plan until 2020 and the development of non-fired construction materials until 2020. However, the province is still facing many difficulties in the field of construction materials production and has proposed to the Ministry of Construction to change the production technology line in the Do Luong cement project, from Chinese technology to EU technology; Planning the Tan Thang cement project mine and the progress of the implementation of line 2 of the Hoang Mai cement project. At the same time, it is proposed that the Ministry stipulate compensation coefficients and support for the renovation of Quang Trung apartment complex, Vinh city; Pay attention to supporting the call for ODA capital to upgrade urban infrastructure; Support the program of developing social housing, student housing, etc.

Concluding the working session, Mr. Trinh Dinh Dung - Minister of Construction highly appreciated the solutions for directing and operating the socio-economic development of Nghe An province in the past time, especially in the field of management and construction planning. Nghe An province has effectively implemented many large-scale programs and projects, selected a number of reasonable urban plans, successfully completed the pilot model of building flood shelters and social housing... For Nghe An to develop strongly, especially Vinh city to become the center of the North Central region, in the coming time, the province needs to continue to adjust the master plan for socio-economic development, on that basis to adjust the construction development plan and consider it as a "framework" plan to orient the development of plans in many other fields. To rapidly increase the urbanization rate, the province needs to attract large industrial investment projects and develop technical infrastructure and invest in urban upgrading... Regarding the province's proposals, the Ministry acknowledges and considers them, creating favorable conditions for Nghe An to soon remove difficulties and obstacles and better implement management, planning, and construction development.
