The agricultural market is always changing, so agricultural products need to closely follow and react quickly to produce and consume effectively.

Organizing agricultural production and ensuring product consumption output to meet market demand is the issue that voters and delegates are most concerned about in the questioning session with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat this morning.

Regarding this issue, Delegate Truong Minh Hoang, National Assembly Delegation of Ca Mau province, asked Minister Cao Duc Phat about solutions to find and expand output for agricultural products in the context that Vietnam has signed many bilateral and multilateral trade agreements.

In his explanation, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat said that Vietnam is in the process of implementing a market mechanism, so the organization of agricultural production must also be consistent with the market mechanism. Moreover, our country's agriculture is deeply integrated into the world economy, so it is necessary to orient production in accordance with the world market.

However, the nature of the world market as well as the agricultural market in general is always changing, so to achieve relative stability, to make our country's agricultural products closely follow and react quickly to developments in the domestic and world markets, to always achieve the highest efficiency. "We cannot expect a market that always has a stable price at a high level that is beneficial to farmers, but must find ways to adapt to the market," said Minister Cao Duc Phat.

The general solution proposed by Minister Cao Duc Phat is to adapt to the market. With the experience of the past 20 years, the best way is to choose and promote existing advantages, support farmers to make products with higher quality, at lower prices so that in all situations of the agricultural market, Vietnam's agricultural products can still be highly competitive, sell more, and benefit farmers.

In the context of continuing to deeply integrate with the international market through the signing of trade agreements, Minister Cao Duc Phat said that, basically, Vietnam should continue to proactively approach the market as it has done before. However, domestically, we still have to support farmers to improve the competitiveness of agricultural products, especially when the market fluctuates unfavorably.

Specifically, in implementing that, on the one hand, removing difficulties and obstacles to help businesses consume agricultural products conveniently and effectively, on the other hand, supporting farmers to maintain selling prices from falling too deeply leading to losses, implementing solutions that can minimize losses, for example, supporting farmers to borrow capital to overcome difficult times.

In particular, although we have helped farmers produce very good products, there are still many limitations in processing and preserving products. Therefore, in the coming period, in addition to helping farmers improve their competitiveness, improve quality and reduce costs, we also need to focus on preservation and processing... these are solutions to help stabilize the market in changing conditions.

In the part answering about the process of research, transfer of scientific and technological advances into the production and processing of agricultural products and food, becoming a breakthrough to promote agricultural production as well as rural economic development, Minister Cao Duc Phat said, this is a major policy in the agricultural development of our country, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has built a project to submit to the Government for approval of the overall plan as well as the project for each sector and is being implemented by the Ministry.

Accordingly, in addition to investing in scientific research institutions to transfer technology to farmers, the most important issue now is to support businesses so that more and more businesses can invest in the field of preserving and processing agricultural products, processing products that meet market requirements and especially having relationships with the market to be able to consume products sustainably. No one can do this better than businesses./.
