Minister Cao Duc Phat visits economic models in Nghe An.

(Baonghean.vn) - During his working visit to Nghe An province, on the morning of July 21st, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam - visited agricultural production transformation models and communes that have achieved the new rural standard. Accompanying the delegation were: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and representatives from various departments and agencies.

In Dien Chau district, Minister Cao Duc Phat and his delegation visited a large-scale poultry farming model with 7,000 birds belonging to Mr. Cao Van Cu's family (Hamlet 14 - Dien Trung commune); and a poultry farm operating under the Viet GAP model of Mr. Phan Dinh Tu's family (Hamlet 10 - Dien Trung). Also in Dien Chau, the Minister and his delegation visited a land consolidation and exchange model in Dien Tho commune.

According to a report by the leaders of the Dien Chau District People's Committee, before the conversion, each household here had an average of 7 plots of land. After the conversion, each household only had 1.6 plots, with 30% of households having only 1 plot. This created favorable conditions for intensive farming and the introduction of mechanization into production, thus increasing the economic value per unit of production compared to before.

The Minister held discussions with owners of livestock farming models in Dien Chau.

Next, Minister Cao Duc Phat and his delegation visited Hung Dong commune (Vinh City) - a commune that has just been recognized as a New Rural Area and is one of the three communes in Nghe An province that have achieved the New Rural Area standard. Here, the Minister and his delegation visited the safe vegetable production model of Mr. Dinh Tay Lam's family in My Long hamlet; and toured cultural facilities, rural roads, and the commune's kindergarten.
