Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat has just requested that the authorities review and adjust the regulation that pork must be sold within eight hours of Circular 33 (newly issued on July 20 and effective from September 3) so that the decisions issued are closer to real life and reduce negative impacts on business activities.

Previously, on July 20, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Circular 33 regulating hygiene conditions and ensuring food safety for establishments trading in fresh meat and edible animal by-products for use as food. A notable point in this regulation is that fresh meat and by-products stored at room temperature can only be sold within 8 hours of slaughter, which is considered difficult to implement.
