(Baonghean.vn) -On April 24th, a delegation from the Ministry of Transport, led by Comrade Dinh La Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Minister of Transport, conducted an on-site inspection of the National Highway 1A expansion projects in Nghe An province.
Welcoming and working with the delegation on behalf of Nghe An province were: Mr. Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of several departments and agencies.

According to the commitment with the Ministry of Transport, by April 15, 2014, Nghe An province had 3 out of 5 districts, cities, and towns completed the land handover for the upgrading and expansion project of National Highway 1A, with a total length of 73.3 km/73.8 km, reaching 99.3%. By April 24, only 3 households in Quynh Van commune (Quynh Luu district) and 14 households in some communes of Dien Chau district had not yet completed the land handover. However, with persuasion and prompt resolution of people's concerns, it is expected that these households will also agree to hand over the land, ensuring that the construction units can proceed on schedule. This achievement is thanks to the involvement of the entire political system at all levels and the agreement and support of the people in the localities through which the project passes.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Dinh La Thang commended the decisive involvement of the Party committees, government, and mass organizations in Nghe An province in disseminating information and mobilizing support, which has created consensus among the people and quickly resolved obstacles and outstanding issues. To date, Nghe An has basically completed the handover of land for the upgrading and expansion project of National Highway 1A, a commendable achievement.
Earlier that morning, Minister Dinh La Thang and provincial leaders attended and cut the ribbon to inaugurate the road surface reinforcement section of the Vinh bypass, part of the National Highway 1A upgrade and expansion project invested by CIENCO4. The completion of the Vinh bypass repair will contribute to the socio-economic development of the central provinces and the integrated operation of the Vinh-Ha Tinh National Highway 1A route.
