Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang has just issued a series of decisions to discipline leaders of the aviation industry.
The Ministry of Transport and the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) have just issued a series of decisions to dismiss and reprimand a number of aviation officers and employees related to the flight safety incident, flight MI 72/423 on October 29, 2014 at Tan Son Nhat airport and the power outage at the Ho Chi Minh Area Control Center and the TSN Approach Control Center on November 20, 2014.
Specifically, Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation has issued a Decision to dismiss Mr. Le Van Tinh - Head of Technical Assurance Center, Southern Air Traffic Management Company and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Phu - Deputy Head of Technical Assurance Center, Southern Air Traffic Management Company for their involvement in the power outage at AACC Ho Chi Minh on November 20, 2014; Reprimand individuals: Mr. Do Hoang Diep - Director of Southern Air Traffic Management Company and arrange other work for their involvement in both incidents;
Regarding the power outage at AACC Ho Chi Minh on November 20, 2014, Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation reprimanded and transferred Mr. Tran Cong - Deputy Director of Southern Air Traffic Management Company; reprimanded Mr. Phung Minh Tan - Head of Technical Department, Southern Air Traffic Management Company.
Regarding the flight safety incident involving flight HVN 1376 and aircraft MI172/423 on October 29, 2014 at Tan Son Nhat Airport, Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation reprimanded individuals at the Approach Control Center - At the airport, Southern Air Traffic Management Company: Tran Minh Bao - Head of Approach Control Center; Mr. Nguyen Van Duong - Crew Chief; Mr. Doan Ngoc Anh - Air Traffic Control Center; Ms. Tran Thi Quang Hien - Air Traffic Control Center.
Next, the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation also severely criticized the Southern Air Traffic Management Company's Board of Directors; Air Traffic Control Department; Technical Department; Safety Team; Approach Control Center - At the Airport; Technical Assurance Center and 13 individuals belonging to these agencies.
Previously, Minister Dinh La Thang signed two Decisions No. 66/QD-BGTVT and 67/QD-BGTVT dated January 9, 2015, reprimanding Mr. Do Quang Viet, Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, for his responsibility related to the incident in the coordination of civil and military aviation operations on October 29, 2014 at Tan Son Nhat Airport and the power outage at the Ho Chi Minh Long-distance Control Center, Tan Son Nhat Approach Control Agency on November 20, 2014.
Reprimanded Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, member of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation for his responsibility related to the power outage at the Ho Chi Minh Area Control Center, TSN Approach Control Agency on November 20, 2014.
Severely criticize Mr. Lai Xuan Thanh - Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam due to his involvement in the incident in the coordination of civil and military aviation operations on October 29, 2014 at Tan Son Nhat Airport and the power outage at the Ho Chi Minh Long-distance Control Center, Tan Son Nhat Approach Control Agency on November 20, 2014.
The Minister also issued a document requesting strict criticism of the Board of Members and Board of Directors of Vietnam Air Traffic Management Company and Mr. Hoang Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Members; Mr. Dinh Viet Thang, member of the Board of Members, General Director, regarding the above incidents./.
