According to RIA Novosti, Ukrainian Defense Minister Denis Shmygal said that the US and NATO are launching a new mechanism to support Ukraine through the Priority Request List (PURL) initiative of Ukraine, providing weapons quickly through voluntary contributions from member countries of the alliance.

According to Prime Minister Shmygal, this initiative is being implemented within the framework of agreements between President Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

"The United States and NATO are launching a new mechanism to support Ukraine through the Ukraine Priority Request List initiative. The purpose of this mechanism is to ensure the rapid supply of systems and weapons to Ukraine, which can be obtained in large quantities from the United States," Ukrainian Prime Minister Shmygal wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, member states and partners will be able to finance US arms supplies through voluntary contributions.

US President Donald Trump said earlier that the US and the European Union had agreed to send US weapons to Ukraine, provided that Europe would pay for them. Future deliveries will include Patriots and ammunition. According to media reports, Washington has asked Germany to buy twice as many air defense systems as in previous discussions. Meanwhile, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Hungary and other countries have refused to participate in the initiative.
