(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the traditional day of the Military Region 4 (October 15, 1945 - October 15, 2014), on the morning of October 15, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Cuong, Commander of the Military Region and Lieutenant General Vo Van Viet, Party Committee Secretary and Political Commissar of the Military Region, visited Kim Lien relic site, Nam Dan, to offer flowers and burn incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.

Also on the morning of October 15, 2014, the Military Region 4 Command held a ceremony to announce the logo of the Military Region's Armed Forces and cut the ribbon to inaugurate the logo installation at the Military Region 4 Museum.

The contest for designing the logo of Military Region 4 was launched in August 2012. After more than 2 years of implementation, the contest received 60 entries, including 28 works by 15 non-military artists and 32 works by officers and soldiers of units in the Military Region.

Through evaluation and appraisal by the Organizing Committee, the logo design of author Lieutenant Colonel Phan The Hien, Propaganda Department, Political Department (idea creation) and Major Nguyen Truong Tue, Military Region Cultural House (art design) was highly appreciated and decided to be chosen as the official logo of Military Region 4.
