SuitArt in Zurich, Switzerland has just launched the most expensive diamond armor product in the world, called "Diamond Armor", for the super rich.
What is special about the suit is that it uses up to 880 black diamonds to decorate, in which the lapels and stitching are set with 600 diamonds each 4mm in diameter, with a total weight of 140 carats. The vest buttons are made of steel with 280 diamonds.
"Diamond Armor" is bulletproof thanks to technology from bulletproof vest and helmet manufacturer Croshield, with a protection level classified as 2. This means the vest can protect the wearer from bullets fired from 9mm pistols to guns using large caliber 0.57 magnum bullets.
Not only is it bulletproof, the diamond-plated armor is also equipped with a built-in air conditioning system to help keep the wearer cool in hot weather or high temperatures.
"The integrated technology can be activated at the touch of a button, providing ultimate comfort to the wearer by cooling with steam," the patent company's statement reads.
Another advantage is that the vest does not require frequent washing, as the nanotechnology makes the outer layer of the garment waterproof and stain-resistant. Although the actual product has not been released, the company that invented it revealed that this special bulletproof vest also has a silk strip printed with a painting by Costa Rican artist Luciano Goizueta.
