Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposes ranking 13 special national monuments
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just sent a document to the National Cultural Heritage Council regarding the fourth round of ranking special national relics, submitting to the Prime Minister for consideration and ranking of 13 relics and scenic spots nationwide.
In the list of 13 historical relics proposed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, there are 3 historical and architectural relics: Ngoc Son Temple historical and architectural relic and Hoan Kiem Lake area (Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi); Phu Dong historical and architectural relic (Gia Lam district, Hanoi) and Dau Pagoda historical and architectural relic and the four-law system (Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province).
The historical and architectural relic of Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake area are proposed to be ranked as special national relics in the 4th phase.

Currently, the country has over 40,000 relics, including 7 tangible heritages recognized by UNESCO, 34 special national relics, and 3,168 relics ranked at the national level. The ranking of National Monuments is important in educating the younger generation about the nation's traditional culture, raising public awareness in heritage protection, and creating a premise for tourism development strategies to contribute to the socio-economic growth of localities.
The following is a detailed list of 13 relics proposed for ranking as special national relics in the fourth phase.
1. Tay Dang Communal House Architectural and Artistic Relic (Ba Vi District, Hanoi City)
2. Historical relic of Hai Ba Trung Temple (Me Linh district, Hanoi city)
3. Historical relic of Hat Mon Temple (Phuc Tho district, Hanoi city)
4. Historical and architectural relics of Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake area (Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi)
5. Phu Dong historical and architectural relic (Gia Lam district, Hanoi)
6. Scenic spots of Cat Ba Archipelago (Cat Hai district, Hai Phong city)
7. Historical relics Tran Dynasty historical relic site in Dong Trieu (Dong Trieu district, Quang Ninh province)
8. But Thap Pagoda architectural and artistic relic (Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province)
9. Historical and architectural relic of Dau Pagoda and the four-law system (Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province)
10. Tran Hung Dao Forest Historical Site (Nguyen Binh District, Cao Bang Province)
11. Historical site Memorial site of the Victory over 75 enemy battalions by the army and people of Zone 9 (Vi Thanh city and Long My district, Hau Giang province)
12. Quang Tri Citadel historical site and memorial sites of the 81-day and night event in 1972 (Quang Tri town, Hai Lang district and Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province)
13. Historical relic of Hien Luong - Ben Hai banks (Vinh Linh and Gio Linh districts, Quang Tri province)
