Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism trains on environmental protection

On the morning of June 12, 2014, in Hoi An city (Quang Nam), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened the 2014 Environmental Protection Training Course.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Tu Manh Luong - Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Environment of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuan - Director of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Da Nang and nearly 200 students from the Departments, Offices of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Central coastal provinces; Management Boards of tourist attractions, historical relics; and tourism service businesses in Quang Nam province...

The training course was organized with the aim of contributing to raising awareness and consciousness of protecting the cultural and tourism environment for officials working in state management of tourism, environmental resources, tourism service units... creating a premise to build a discipline in environmental protection in general and tourism environment in particular to develop the tourism industry in a sustainable manner.

The training course took place over 2 days (June 12 & 13, 2014) and included 5 topics related to environmental protection: Legal documents; Some experiences and solutions; The role of State management agencies and communities; Responding to climate change... At the end of the training course, the participants were awarded certificates./
