Ministry of Health issues telegram on prevention and control of tropical depression
The Ministry of Health requires localities to respond promptly and accurately, minimizing damage caused by floods.
On the afternoon of November 11, the Ministry of Health sent a telegram to the Department of Health of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Binh to Ca Mau, and units under the Ministry in the Central and Southern regions regarding the implementation of response work to the tropical depression near the East Sea.
According to the dispatch, the Ministry of Health requested the Department of Health of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Binh to Ca Mau and units under the Ministry of Health in the Central and Southern regions to immediately deploy the following tasks: closely monitor the developments of the tropical depression, proactively respond to unusual developments of floods and rains, promote the four-on-the-spot motto, respond promptly and accurately, and minimize damage caused by floods and rains.
The Department of Health of provinces and cities proactively prepares human resources, basic medicine and chemicals for flood and storm prevention, organizes on-duty and emergency teams, and is ready to receive and provide emergency care to victims affected by floods.
Mobile emergency teams are always ready to respond to lower levels when ordered. Urgently deploy plans to protect or relocate medical facilities to ensure absolute safety for patients, medical staff as well as medical equipment in areas at risk of being affected by floods, proactively plan to evacuate medical facilities in low-lying areas, areas at risk of flooding.
Units under the Ministry prepare medicines, equipment and vehicles and assign mobile medical teams to be ready to support localities in overcoming the consequences caused by floods.
The Department of Health and units are on duty, closely monitoring, updating information and sending quick reports on drug, chemical and medical equipment reserves, results of medical response to floods, reviewing the quantity and expiry date of flood prevention drugs and proposing requests to the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Health's Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Command./.
