The Ministry of Health has just issued Official Dispatch No. 2615 to Directors of hospitals under the Ministry, Directors of Health Departments of provinces and centrally run cities, and Heads of Health of Ministries and branches on the implementation of an online system to record infectious diseases at hospitals.
The Ministry of Health requests that hospitals under the Ministry of Health, Departments of Health of provinces and centrally run cities, and Health of ministries and branches on May 15 organize daily recording of hospitalized infectious disease cases on the online system at hospitals chaired by the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management - Ministry of Health, including: cases of measles, dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, meningococcal meningitis at the time of hospitalization and last update when the patient is discharged from the hospital.
For severe cases with complications, oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, intensive care, liver failure, kidney failure... information must be updated daily on the current condition, progress, and specific test results. Particularly for measles, arrange appropriate human resources to retrospectively record all hospitalized measles cases with confirmed clinical or laboratory diagnosis since January 1, 2014, including deaths.
