Exposing a transnational drug trafficking ring of 15 people

Possessing firearms, not declaring them when arrested and resisting the authorities to the end if pursued; these are the “characteristics” of 15 subjects in a transnational drug trafficking ring that was recently dismantled by Lang Son Provincial Police in coordination with other authorities.

The case was launched in January 2016, but it was not until more than 3 months later, when the 15th suspect was caught, that the first information was revealed by the police. The most recent arrestee was Tran Ba ​​Duc (aka Duc “lieng”, from Tu Ky, Hai Duong).

On the evening of April 29, after nearly 4 hours of surrounding, mobilizing and applying necessary strong measures, Lang Son Provincial Police forces controlled and arrested Duc “lieng”, confiscating nearly 3 kg of “crystal meth” and 2 military guns from his person and car. Duc “lieng” was arrested after the arresting force threw 3 tear gas grenades at his hiding place.

During an urgent search of Duc's residence in Hoang Van Thu ward (Lang Son city), the police seized about 1 kg of powdered heroin, 4 heroin cakes, over 500 synthetic drug pills, 200 grams of "American weed", 1 set of drug molds, 3 electronic scales, 800 million VND and 3 guns including 1 AK gun, 1 Z92 gun and 1 shotgun, 163 bullets, 2 grenades, and many related exhibits.

Before Duc “lieng”, 14 subjects were arrested by the police. First were Bui Xuan Son (49 years old) and Nguyen Huy Son (48 years old), both residing in Cam Gia ward, Thai Nguyen city, arrested on January 19, 2016, while driving a car with license plate 20A-015.72 transporting 2 heroin cakes through Van Quan town (Van Quan district, Lang Son). Searching the residence of these 2 subjects, the task force seized 2.5 kg of “crystal meth”, 1 small scale and many related evidences.

At the same time, another working group of Lang Son Provincial Police arrested and urgently searched Vi Van Lich (32 years old), residing on My Son Street, Block 9, Vinh Trai Ward, Lang Son City; the person who supplied the "goods" to the two subjects above. The police agency seized nearly 1 kg of "crystal meth", 1 package of heroin, 1 car, 1 motorbike, 77 million VND, 8,000 NDT and some other evidence.

From the documents of the fight against these 3 subjects, in the early morning of April 8, on National Highway 1A through Van Thuy commune, Chi Lang district, the working group of Lang Son Provincial Police coordinated with the Department of Investigation Police on Drug Crimes of the Ministry of Public Security, ambushed and caught red-handed Nguyen Thi Hai Yen (40 years old, residing in Le Chan district, Hai Phong), seizing 4.5 kg of crystal meth.

Searching Yen's residence in Hai Phong, the investigation force seized an additional 1.2 kg of synthetic drugs, 15 grams of "crystal" drugs, more than 700 million VND and a colt gun with 5 bullets. Based on Yen's testimony, the investigation agency urgently arrested Cao Sy Ha and La Viet Thong (both 28 years old, residing in Lang Son city).

At around 4am on April 12, in Chi Lang district, the task force continued to arrest 4 subjects related to Nguyen Thi Hai Yen, both residing in Hai Phong, who were "holding" 4 bags of crystal meth, 3kg of "American weed", and 12 synthetic drug pills. Searching the residence of this group of subjects, the investigation agency seized an additional 1kg of crystal meth.

Before Tran Ba ​​Duc was arrested, two other “henchmen” were caught: Nguyen Thi Quy (39 years old, residing in Hai Phong City) and Luong Thi Thu Trang (31 years old, residing in Ban Vien village, Hoang Dong commune, Lang Son city). The case is being further investigated by the Lang Son Provincial Police Department. Tran Ba ​​Duc is being considered for prosecution on charges of possessing military weapons; resisting law enforcement officers; and illegally storing, transporting and trading narcotics.

According to anninhthudo
