Skills training for candidates for district and commune People's Council delegates
- On the morning of April 25, the Provincial Committee for the Advancement of Women organized a training course for female candidates to run for district-level People's Council delegates for the 2011-2016 term from 5 units: Vinh City, Cua Lo Town, Hung Nguyen District, Nghi Loc and Nam Dan.
This is the first of four training courses. During the two days, female candidates are provided with basic information related to elections, supplemented with the most necessary knowledge and skills to help candidates become more confident in the election campaign and contact with voters. The program spends part of its time helping female candidates practice presenting their personal action programs before entering official voter contacts.
The Provincial Committee for Progress will continue to organize 4 training courses for 407 female candidates (after the 3rd consultation) to run for district-level People's Council delegates for the 2011-2016 term.

- Thanh Chuong district's training course had nearly 400 trainees who were members of the election committees at grassroots levels throughout the district. During the 1-day course, the participants learned about the new points of the Law on Election of Deputies to the 13th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term; some situations that occurred and solutions to overcome them.
