(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the continuous hot weather without rain, the 2015 summer corn crop and corn growing areas of farmers in Boi Son commune suffered serious damage.

The commune's corn acreage was severely damaged.

According to Mr. Phan Van Hai, head of the commune's agricultural extension department, out of the total corn growing area of ​​57 hectares, 42 hectares suffered 80% yield damage, of which nearly 30 hectares were completely lost. The remaining 15 hectares had a yield of only 30-50%.

Corn along Lam River could not avoid drying out due to the heat.

The Commune People's Committee has compiled a report on corn damage to the district and requested the district and provincial levels to provide partial support to resolve difficulties for farmers.
