According to information just announced by Bao Viet Group this afternoon (September 2), the car involved in the accident had purchased civil liability insurance for passengers at Bao Viet Hanoi Company with a maximum compensation of 70 million VND/person/incident. This is also the amount that Bao Viet representative said it would pay to the victims who died in the tragic accident above.

Regarding the injured, information from Bao Viet said that this unit will urgently coordinate with the authorities to determine the level of disability to pay and support the victims.

According to Bao Viet representative, immediately after confirming information about the accident, Bao Viet Lao Cai Company, a member unit of the system, coordinated to send a delegation to visit and grasp the situation. Bao Viet also affirmed that it will guide and support the insured to quickly complete the documents so that insurance payments can be made correctly and accurately.

Previously, according to the report of the National Traffic Safety Committee, at 6:55 p.m. on September 1, at Km 122+800 National Highway 4D, a Sao Viet passenger bus with license plate 29B-08582 carrying 53 people (both drivers and 1 assistant driver) from Sa Pa to Lao Cai collided with a 5-seat car going in the opposite direction and lost control, plunging into a deep ravine.

This is an especially serious traffic accident. As of 10 p.m. on September 1, authorities have determined that 12 people have died and 41 people have been injured.

Immediately after the accident, the Ministry of Health also supported the families of the deceased victims with 3 million VND each, and the injured victims with 1 million VND each, and exempted all hospital fees./.
