Nghe An Football: Two names

August 29, 2011 17:07

(Baonghean) -There are many football players trained from Nghe An “oven” who play for most of the top football teams in Vietnam. Among those many players, there are 2 prominent names: Goalkeeper Hong Son and striker Cong Vinh.

These are 2 players who grew up in Nghe An and are also 2 members of the Vietnam national team that won the Southeast Asian football championship AFF Cup 2008, both received the title "Vietnam Golden Ball". Duong Hong Son was once the best goalkeeper in Vietnam, and Le Cong Vinh was and is the number 1 striker of Vietnamese football. Both came to Hanoi TT, Hong Son came first, Cong Vinh came later. Then both were in the Hanoi T&T squad when Hanoi T&T won the national championship in 2010, won the Super Cup in the 2010 season. Although in the 2010 season, Cong Vinh did not contribute much to Hanoi T&T due to an injury that required long-term treatment in Portugal. However, both enjoyed glory when they were in the national team and at Hanoi T&T.

The departure of Hong Son and Cong Vinh has caused some “difficulties” for SLNA, but thanks to SLNA still having a good generation of players, it is not as difficult as Nam Dinh, Khanh Hoa or Dong Tam Long An. The departure of these two players is, in any case, a regret for those who love SLNA. But that is professional football. What can we do?

In the 2011 football season, SLNA met Hanoi T&T again in the match that decided the championship. People asked how Cong Vinh would play, how Hong Son would defend the city? One side is the team where he grew up, where he was nurtured to grow up. The other side is the team that is raising him, paying him salary and bonuses. It is difficult and also very hard. In this dilemma, Cong Vinh has a heavier burden than Hong Son. Either way, it is difficult. I wonder if that is why Le Cong Vinh played with all his heart in that match, neither good nor bad? Some people commented that Cong Vinh could not play, but in fact, it must be said that he could not play. We cannot blame them, because having brought this fate upon themselves, they must have their own calculations. If they need to go to a new place, they have to go. Anyway, their progress still brings pride to Nghe An football. Therefore, we hope that these two names will continue to blossom their talents.
