Vietnamese football 'alliance network' exposed: Who is covering for whom?
What has happened over the past time between VPF and the Referee Board is actually not new. Only when a recording was leaked out did people see most clearly the very "denial" problem that needs drastic change in Vietnamese football.
The upper class is unjust...
Since the new term, the place where Mr. Tran Manh Hung works has changed the leadership of V-League, First Division... has more or less had more income with huge sponsorship money from NutiFood, as well as other businesses.
However, the change or in other words, the power is being seen as being concentrated in one person, Mr. Tran Anh Tu, with the highest positions of VPF. This raises the issue that VPF is lacking strong enough counter-arguments to create balance and harmony.
VPF is represented by Chairman of the Board of Directors Tran Anh Tu. |
And that is the reason why Vice President Tran Manh Hung may have the opportunity to act, because Mr. Hung is considered to be on the same "team" with the current Chairman of the Board of Directors, Head of the V-League Executive Board, and General Director, Mr. Tu.
Because obviously, if working in a disciplined organization, and when VPF Board Chairman Tran Anh Tu is almost the spokesperson of the unit that runs Vietnam's professional tournaments, then the fact that Mr. Tu's deputy made such a noisy "interaction" is enough to raise many questions.
and VFF represented by Chairman Le Hung Dung is like an oasis of power |
For VFF, over the years, there have been rumors that the leaders and managers of the Referee Board have been covering up for their subordinates whenever there is public reaction or media dissection?
All matters of the referee board are ultimately known only to insiders. The incidents of the kings of the field over the years have been "hidden" by the head and deputy of the referee board Nguyen Van Mui, Duong Van Hien..., so it is only a matter of time before there are disagreements with the unit that "hires and cooperates" with them, VPF.
...lower congestion
As mentioned, the story of "not being on good terms" between VPF and the Referee Board has lasted for many years when the Vietnamese professional football organization always complained about the quality of the referees in the V-League, and at the same time was ready to invite foreign referees to referee enough to make the "other side" angry.
VPF is not wrong in demanding that the Referee Board upgrade the quality of its players, simply because this unit is the one hired to coordinate with the "V-League event organization" to be as good as VFF wants, so it is normal that it needs the best quality "partners".
is the reason why the two vice presidents of VPF and deputy referee board Duong Van Hien "fight" with each other. |
However, when VPF suddenly wanted to take over the authority to assign referees and after the incident of referee Nguyen Van Kien demanding to dismiss Mr. Mui, everything went too far beyond the functions and powers that VFF assigned to VPF.
With the long-simmering issues, with statements that seem to slap the referees in the face, and then personally Mr. Nguyen Van Mui and Duong Van Hien from VPF, the story of them having to be on guard and ready to "fight" with each other is not strange.
VPF cannot put its hand on its "partner" (the Referee Board), VFF has not tightened up, even being somewhat superficial, letting the Referee Board do whatever it wants has created a bad precedent that has lasted for a long time. And to let the recording and the behavior of the Vice President of VPF and the Vice Chairman of the Referee Board be revealed in the past few days is actually too normal.
And now, fortunately, that tape has been released so that the public can see the real urgent problem of Vietnamese football at this time. And of course, that forces VPF and VFF to start reforming their working methods, otherwise it will be very... tiring.
