Patient Vi Thi Ngan (37 years old, Chau Thanh, Quy Hop) was transferred to the hospital in critical condition, with 95% of her body burned, third-degree, her body was so swollen that her femoral and carotid pulses could not be detected, and she was at high risk of death. The Emergency Department promptly placed an endotracheal tube and actively resuscitated the patient.
It is known that in the afternoon of the same day, patient Vi Thi Ngan and her two children went to the fields to burn the fields, preparing the land to sow seeds for the new acacia crop. At 4 p.m., strong winds arose in Quy Hop district. Worried that the fire might spread to the neighboring acacia field, Ms. Ngan hurriedly went to put out the fire. However, in the critical moment, Ms. Ngan accidentally slipped and fell into the fire in her field. By the time she was rescued by her family, Ms. Ngan was already severely burned.
Currently, Nghe An General Hospital is making every effort to save the life of patient Vi Thi Ngan.
