Nearly 20 days have passed since the tragic death of referee Duong Ngoc Tan due to overexertion during a physical examination organized by the VFF, but there has still been no review of who is responsible for the tragic incident.
On April 22, the Hanoi Referee Board and a group of close friends, including those who did not know the unfortunate referee, organized a meaningful four-team football tournament to raise funds for Mr. Tan's wife and children. The meeting was filled with humanity and emotion. Witnessing the scene of referee Duong Ngoc Tan's wife and young children sobbing in memory of him, no one could hold back their tears.
Why did VFF allow V-League referees to undergo health checks at the Vietnam Sports Hospital before the physical test but say no to first-class referees? Where is the voice of the VFF Referee Board when it accepts to let its colleagues risk their lives with an irresponsible test following the wrong procedure of the training session organizers?
Everyone said it was regrettable and heartbreaking to hear about the sudden death of referee Duong Ngoc Tan, but no group or individual was brave enough to recognize and correct their mistakes.
V-League football is still rolling in the middle of the storm. VFF is having to deal with accusations of bribery, installing factions for the new term and not following the rules of the Party cell. There are many promises that have gone with the wind, there are officials of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training who have been seconded for over 10 years violating the Law on Cadres and Civil Servants, there are people who have moved from futsal to take over the financial sector and even let players wear shirts named after basketball clubs...
People want the V-League to roll to cover up the dark corners like hiding a needle in a bag?
Sharing the pain of referee Duong Ngoc Tan's family
While those responsible kept avoiding taking responsibility, those who were not part of the federation organized a four-team tournament to commemorate this referee and raise funds to help those who remained in referee Tan's family.
