New Year's Eve dinner ends in murder
(Baonghean) - This morning, February 2, Vinh City Police issued a decision to prosecute three defendants: Nguyen Dinh Sang (born in 1989), Le Anh Minh (born in 1989) for murder and Tran Van Thang, both residing in Quan Bau ward (Vinh City, Nghe An) for being an accomplice to murder.
The incident occurred around noon on January 20, 2011 (ie the 27th day of the lunar calendar). Nguyen Dinh Sang and Le Anh Minh were invited by Vi Thi Tham - a massage therapist - to a rented room for a New Year's Eve dinner. There, they clashed with Tran Van Thang (also known as Thang "axe") who was with a few other friends. Having a romantic relationship with Vi Thi Tham, when he saw Sang, Thang "axe" thought that Sang was trying to flirt and put his hands on his lover, so he and his friends rushed in to beat him up, hoping to "teach" Sang a lesson. They even humiliated Sang and Minh in front of Tham by forcing them to kneel down and apologize before sending them away.
Nguyen Dinh Sang was arrested by the investigation agency.
Unable to “swallow” that hatred, Sang and Minh did not return home immediately but stopped by the house of a subject also named Tran Van Thang (also known as Thang Cong) to borrow two knives with the purpose of revenge and revenge. Ambushing on Ngo Gia Tu street, as soon as they saw Thang passing by, Sang and Minh rushed in and slashed Thang “axe” many times. After committing the crime, both of them immediately fled.
Upon receiving the public's report, the Vinh City Police Department's investigation force immediately took action. Based on the statements of Vi Thi Tham, Nguyen Dinh Sang, Le Van Minh and Tran Van Thang (Thang Cong), the investigation agency determined that there was sufficient basis to initiate a criminal case. Although the investigation process encountered many difficulties because the case took place near Tet, with high determination, the officers and soldiers of Vinh City Police Department completed their tasks and achieved results in the first days of the new year./.
