On the morning of January 9, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency announced: The unit arrested two subjects Nguyen Van Thuong (born 1996) and Nguyen M. (born 1999), both residing in Hamlet 7, Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District, for buying, selling, and transporting 13 kg of firecrackers.

Previously, at around 9:00 p.m. on January 7, on National Highway 1A in Block 4, Quan Hanh Town, the working group of the Criminal - Economic - Drug Police Team of Nghi Loc District Police, while on patrol, discovered and arrested the two subjects transporting fireworks. The functional forces seized evidence including 7 foreign-made mortar artillery systems, weighing 13kg; 1 Exiter motorbike, the vehicle used by the subjects to transport fireworks.

At the investigation agency, Thuong and M. confessed that they bought the fireworks from a person in Nghi Hoa commune for 5.6 million VND. The two subjects intended to sell them retail to make a profit during Tet.

Currently, the case is being further investigated by the authorities.
