Nghe An Post Office strives to maintain the leading position in the industry

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 31 in Vinh City, the Party Committee of Nghe An Provincial Post Office held the 3rd Congress for the 2015-2020 term.

Attending the congress were comrades Thai Khac Thu, member of the Provincial Party Committee - Secretary of the Party Committee of Nghe An Provincial Business Bloc, Ho Quang Thanh - member of the Provincial Party Committee - Director of Nghe An Department of Information and Communications, Chu Quang Hao, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Post Corporation, along with representatives of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors and nearly 100 party members of the Nghe An Provincial Post Party Committee.

During the 2013-2015 term, the Party Committee led the unit to successfully complete the unit's annual work plans and programs, achieving and exceeding the targets set by the 2nd Congress. Currently, the unit provides public postal services that meet the "National technical standards on public postal services". In the province, 442/481 communes, wards and towns have newspapers to read during the day.

In addition to providing traditional services such as delivering letters, newspapers, EMS express delivery, etc., the Provincial Post Office has expanded its network of services to create more jobs and increase revenue in business activities. Expanding the network of public administrative services such as paying social insurance pensions, collecting voluntary social insurance and health insurance; delivering social insurance records, delivering ID cards, household registration numbers, certificates of eligibility for security and order, vehicle registration, driver's license renewal records, and criminal records. Thanks to diversifying services, the Provincial Post Office has promptly met the needs of local people.

The material and spiritual life of workers is cared for and improved, policies are fully implemented according to the provisions of law. The Party Committee has been awarded the title of exemplary Party Committee for 2 consecutive years. Many collectives and cadres of the Provincial Post Office have received many noble awards, the Provincial Post Office unit during its term was awarded the emulation flag of the Prime Minister.

The Congress focused on reviewing and objectively and comprehensively evaluating achievements, results, limitations and shortcomings, and at the same time drawing lessons from the implementation of the Party Congress Resolution for the 2013-2015 term. From there, it continued to set out directions, goals and development tasks in line with the Party Congress Resolution for the 2015-2020 term.

Continue to improve the capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee; effectively lead production and business, exceeding the planned targets assigned by the Corporation; Ensure good service of public postal services and participate in the implementation of public services assigned by the State; Ensure jobs, life and policies for workers; maintain the title of exemplary Party Committee; Strive to build Nghe An Provincial Post Office into one of the leading strong units of the Vietnam Post Corporation.

Strengthen cooperation with partners to develop postal and delivery services, especially international express delivery; actively deploy new services, maintain and develop a widespread service network, and effectively implement customer care policies. Regularly innovate methods, improve the capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee, identify Party building as a key task to complete the plan and Resolution set forth by the Congress.
