The youngest singer to be awarded the title of People's Artist talks about life in an 8,000m2 garden house
Singer Pham Phuong Thao is the youngest artist to be awarded the title of People's Artist on March 6. Phuong Thao is currently a member of the Vietnam National Music, Dance and Dance Theater.

Pham Phuong Thao shared that she was honored and proud to be awarded the title of People's Artist in the 10th award ceremony recently at the Opera House.
“Before, I thought about the title of artist very differently. Sometimes I even felt that my name with the title of Meritorious Artist sounded a bit “old”. But when I received the title, I returned home and was very surprised to receive congratulations from my family, parents, and relatives very warmly. Especially my parents, they were happy, happy as if they had lived 10 more years.
Because I witnessed my parents' happiness and pride, I told myself to strive harder to become a People's Artist. My parents' health and pride are the motivation and factors that multiply my happiness, so that I can strive and achieve the title I have today" - Phuong Thao shared.
After receiving the title of People's Artist, Phuong Thao had a party to celebrate with her parents and family.
In response to the question, “Becoming a People's Artist, do you think you can stand with veteran artists like People's Artist Thu Hien, People's Artist Thanh Hoa, People's Artist Thanh Lam...?”, Phuong Thao said: “I became a People's Artist simply for my own personal purpose, wanting to bring joy and pride to my parents, and never thought about standing with anyone. I myself am the same in real life, I do not compete, do not compete, and do not look at anyone's status. What I have done and am doing are simply the things I want to do.”
Phuong Thao also revealed that People's Artist Thu Hien has been her idol since childhood. "I have always admired People's Artist Thu Hien, she has been my idol for a long time. Besides People's Artist Thu Hien, I listen to music and admire another international artist, that is Celine Dion. Celine Dion's powerful voice makes me feel like she is a goddess. I listen to many of Celine Dion's songs such as To love you more, The power of love, My heart will go on..." - Phuong Thao said.

Currently, Phuong Thao works at the Vietnam National Music and Dance Theater. She has an apartment on Hoang Dao Thuy Street to commute to work in the inner city. In addition, Pham Phuong Thao also owns a garden house of 8,000m2.2in Hoa Lac.
When asked about the "wealth" and "luxury life" in the 8,000m2 garden house, Phuong Thao said: "I was lucky to have the right time and bought that piece of land a long time ago. I am not rich, many friends around me are much richer. Measuring "wealth" is very difficult, because each person has a different point of view. For some people, having a house and a car is rich, but for others, having more than that is rich. I think there is no measure for wealth. For me personally, wealth lies in spiritual life, peace, and freedom. My life in the garden house is very simple. On days without rain or humidity like this time, I like to go out to the garden to take care of the plants. The garden with many trees and flowers gives me a sense of peace."
Phuong Thao shared that happiness to her now is living a happy, healthy, peaceful life, and being able to spend more time taking care of her parents. The female singer still chooses to be single after her divorce.

Pham Phuong Thao was born in 1982 and became famous after winning third prize in the Sao Mai contest in 2003. Phuong Thao graduated from the Military College of Culture and Arts (currently the Military University of Culture and Arts).
In addition to her singing talent, the female singer is also capable of writing music and poetry. Some of her outstanding compositions such as "Chang vinh quy", "Mo duyen", "Gai Nghe" or the poetry collection "Di tat xuan thi"... have all been well received by the audience.
The female singer is considered to have her own style, sweet, clear voice, with a special position in the folk music genre, praising love for homeland and country.
